about Go! 2010 – Update why not use one of our scooters on the isles of scilly?
Who can use Go!
Anyone young or not so young who has any difficulty getting around. This may include people who are temporarily less mobile. The service is available to residents and visitors.
Residents will find the Go! shop useful along with the
Go! visit, for visits to the Hospital, Doctors practices, St. Johns Hall or the Council Offices. Visitors will enjoy the Go! sea&gardens through our pretty sub-tropical gardens and along the sea front. A manual sand wheelchair is also available for visitors to access Marazion beach and St Michaels Mount at low tide. Please ring for availability.
How Go! works?
If you are using the scheme for the first time you will be asked to fill in a registration form and show proof of identification including your name and address. There is an annual membership fee payable on the first visit. You will then be shown the equipment and the staff will be pleased to train you how to use it. Once you are happy and confident off you go!
You will only be required to do the practice drive for the first time of use, but will be required to confirm that your health has not deteriorated since the previous visit and to declare any other additional circumstances that may affect your ability to operate the equipment safely.
A flexible booking system allows from hourly to half daily and daily charges, please ring for details. A small, refundable deposit will be required for each time you use the equipment.
